Toyohari - Japanese style of acupuncture
Toyohari is an East Asian meridian therapy that is beautiful and nourishing, and is incorporated into all acupuncture treatments. We use all sorts of different tools in Toyohari, non-insertive tools as well as very fine needles. Other diagnostic tools such as abdominal diagnosis and channel palpation are also incorporated. It is a system based on the Five Element or Five Phases (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Wood), meaning that we aim to balance the body to bring it back to harmony.
Mind + body
Toyohari uses non-invasive tools, moxa and fine needles. This is the foundation for all acupuncture treatments. To balance and tonify the root, and then treat the branches. It is a tonifying and nourishing treatment to balance the mind and body.
Press needles
You may go home with press needles in place, this is to continue stimulating the acupuncture point after your treatment. These press needles are stickers with tiny little needles on them, you will forget it is on, but it will keep working!
Tiny needles
The needles we use in acupuncture are thin and fine! We use Japanese needles that are specifically made to provide a pain free and worry free treatment! Most of the time you don’t even feel the needles!
