Womb & Fertility Massage

A sacred feminine journey, connecting back into your womanhood, tuning into your cycles, your womanly seasons. Lead the way for the Heart to connect back to the Womb

Why have a Womb Massage?

For a start there does not need to be a ‘reason’ to have a Womb Massage, you may just want to take part in a sacred feminine journey, connect back into your womanhood, tune into your cycles, your womanly seasons. Lead the way for the heart to connect back to the Womb. There does not need to be a pathology.

However…

Another name for Womb Massage is Fertility Massage. This is because during the treatment we use acupressure, we clear congestion, break down scar tissue, bring in fresh blood to the ovaries, create space for nerves and clear pathways for hormonal health. But please please understand that we can not and would not guarantee pregnancy. However, we do hope to play a part in the journey and we step in with the highest intention.

But that is definitely not what Womb Massage is all about!

For the same reasons it can aid fertility, abdominal massage can benefit other conditions such as period pain, endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids, amenorrhoea, blocked fallopian tubes, PMS, bladder infections, ovarian cysts, heavy bleeding, menopause, hysterectomy or sexual trauma.

It is lovely for the digestive system too and can benefit those with IBS, bloating, constipation and diarrhoea.

Womb Massage is not a normal massage, it is a sacred treatment filled with ritual, and when you come in to receive please be prepared for awakenings, energetic shifts and deep change.

What is a Womb/Fertility massage?

Womb/Fertility massage is a non-invasive treatment, that involves acupressure, deep tissue massage, scar release and meditation/visualisation.

We work on the sacrum, coccyx (though this is to be determined in consultation), and whole abdomen - diaphragm, intestines and womb - to clear congestion, break down scar tissue, adhesions, make space, and bring in blood.

To breath deeply, and clear a path for the womb to connect to the heart.

This is a little of how the womb/fertility massage flows, but it is a treatment that opens and reveals. It engenders shifts. It is sacred and special.

At the end of the treatment you are wrapped in rebozo shawls to feel grounded, safe, and held. This is a ceremony that has a history in several cultures. And while you are held in that space, we will go through a meditation/visualisation.

It is a healing treatment, of body and soul, suitable for every woman.

It is nourishing and goes deep, and please know I do not step in lightly, and nor should you.

How can Womb & Fertility Massage benefit reproductive conditions?

Fertility

Fertility massage encourages hormonal balance by bringing in fresh oxygenated blood to the ovaries, and clears congestion, which therefore clears hormonal pathways for feedback between the endocrine system and reproductive organs. Womb massage for fertility releases scar tissue surrounding the ovaries, making the path clearer and easier for the ovulating egg. We can not and would not guarantee pregnancy. However, we do hope to play a part in the journey.

Endometriosis

Womb massage increases endorphins which ease pain, and helps to break down scar tissue and adhesions. This treatment encourages hormonal balance by bringing in fresh oxygenated blood to the ovaries, and clearing congestion, which therefore clears hormonal pathways for feedback between the endocrine system and reproductive organs. It also helps to release trapped nerves, which eases pain.

Heavy painful periods and clots

This treatment helps to bring in fresh blood to the uterus, and release old stagnant blood and clots. Massage increases endorphins which reduces pain and eases trapped nerves which brings pain relief. The treatment also helps to correct the position of the uterus which eases pain and lessen blood clots.

Irregular periods

Abdominal massage helps to balance hormones by clearing congestion and opening up hormonal feedback pathways, eases stress, which has a large impact on cycles, and increases circulation which increases hormone delivery.

Poor egg health

Womb massage for fertility increase circulation and brings in fresh blood to ovaries, and increases hormone delivery. Fertility massage releases scar tissue surrounding the ovaries, making the path clearer and easier for the ovulating egg.

Poor mucus production

Womb massage increases lymphatic flow, enhancing mucus production, and encourages hormonal balance, which in turn encourages mucus production. It also increases circulation to the cervix which promotes healing and repair.

Peri-menopause/Menopause

This treatment is a wonderful support when going through peri-menopause or menopause. Womb massage can help regulate your cycle, as circulation is increased, congestion is cleared, and hormonal feedback pathways are opened. Womb massage also helps to improve digestion and elimination, and allows the nervous system to rest and recuperate.

Blocked Fallopian Tubes

Womb massage increases circulation and lymphatic drainage, which reduces inflammation. It breaks down scar tissue and assists the body in loosening tension within the tissues.

Fibroids

The cause of fibroids is not well understood, however womb massage helps to balance hormones by clearing congestion and opening up hormonal feedback pathways, as well as easing stress, and increases circulation and elimination. Womb massage is not a treatment for fibroids, but these mechanisms help to support the reproductive system.

*Please note pedunculated fibroids are a contraindication to womb massage.

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)

Womb massage can help with cramps, clotting, water retention, mood, and constipation that can be common around menstruation. There was a study done on abdominal massage that showed it helped with these symptoms.

Orgasms & Libido

Womb massage has a way of changing the way we see ourselves, of connecting us back to our femininity and making us feel beautiful and womanly. In this evolution we feel more sensual and sexual.

If you are struggling to achieve orgasm, in the treatment we work around the sacrum and coccyx, and make space for the pudendal nerve, which is located next to your coccyx. This can increase your ability to achieve orgasm.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)

Womb massage encourages hormonal balance by bringing in fresh oxygenated blood to the ovaries, and clears congestion, which therefore clears hormonal pathways for feedback between the endocrine system and reproductive organs.

Benefits of Fertility Massage

Abdominal massage for fertility is a specialised form of massage therapy that focuses on improving reproductive health and increasing the chances of conception.

While it is important to note that fertility massage should not be seen as a standalone solution for infertility issues, it can offer several potential benefits when used as part of a comprehensive fertility support plan.

Womb Massage for Fertility Melbourne

Blood circulation: Fertility massage increases blood circulation to improve blood flow to the reproductive organs. Enhanced circulation can nourish the ovaries, uterus, and fallopian tubes, supporting optimal functioning and hormone balance.

Hormonal balance: Abdominal massage for fertility can help regulate hormonal levels by reducing stress and tension, chronic stress can disrupt hormonal equilibrium, affecting ovulation and fertility. Massage can induce relaxation, reducing stress hormones such as cortisol and promoting the release of endorphins, which can have a positive impact on hormonal balance. It also promotes hormonal balance by bringing in fresh oxygenated blood to the ovaries, and clears congestion, which therefore clears hormonal pathways for feedback between the endocrine system and reproductive organs.

Reduces adhesions and scar tissue: Fertility massage techniques can help break up adhesions and reduce the formation of scar tissue in the reproductive organs. Adhesions and scar tissue can impair proper organ mobility and functioning, potentially obstructing fallopian tubes or affecting the implantation of a fertilised egg.

Improved ovarian function: Womb massage for fertility can stimulate the ovaries and help promote the production of healthy eggs. It can also assist in balancing the ovarian cycle, improving the regularity and quality of ovulation.

Enhanced uterine health: The massage techniques used in fertility massage can help tone and strengthen the uterus. This can improve the uterine lining's receptivity for implantation, potentially increasing the chances of successful pregnancy.

Increased mind-body connection: Fertility massage can promote a greater mind-body connection, helping individuals feel more connected to their reproductive health and body. Meditation is included in the treatment to foster connection between the heart and womb.

Pre-Ovulation/Spring

Here we are strong and clear. We’re social. We’re energetic, creative. When we take insights gained in Winter, and decide how and whether to fulfil them. We become strong, analytical, and clear. It’s symbolised by our maiden years, from teenage to 20’s.

Premenstrual/Autumn

Autumn is when we face reality of what is working and what isn’t. We have decreased tolerance, and concentration. Our intuition flows. It’s symbolised by the wisdom of our late 40’s to 50’s.
